The Maurice Sendak's Little Bear: The Movie


Little Bear and Father Bear are camping in the woods when they meet a smaller bear named Cub. It seems that Cub became separated from his parents during a storm and now he can't find them. Little Bear and Father Bear decide to try to help Cub find his family.

This animated feature blends humor, adventure, and good old-fashioned children's storytelling. The story is based on the popular children's books by Maurice Sendak and the related television series on Nick Jr. While camping with his father, Little Bear meets Cub, who is also a black bear, but who has been raised in the wilderness. Cub has become separated from his parents, so Little Bear and his father take Cub home to show him how they live. After some fun flipping flapjacks, Little Bear rallies his woodland friends, who set out to find Cub's parents. Grammy Award-winner Shawn Colvin lends her earthy vocals to the soundtrack. ~ Jessica Frost, All Movie Guide
