I have the demo version downloaded for this one. I see some crk/keygen released, but I can't dnl it anywhere. Anyone seen this?

Here is how to obtain a fully registered copy of Eviews 6:

1) Download Eviews6, following the Rapidshare links below:

Unrar and install. During installation enter "demo" as serial number, (without the quotes) and your username.

2) update to build 1807

3) Download the cracked executable from: http://rapidshare.com/files/38811230/EViews6.exe.html

4) Replace the original .exe with the cracked .exe

5) This is the tricky part because it involves editing your registry. If you are not comfortable with this STOP now.

5) Run regedit.exe and locate Quantitative Micro Software. It is usually at one of the following three locations:
[ HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Quantitative Micro Software ]
[ HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Quantitative Micro Software\EViews ]
[ HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Quantitative Micro Software\EViews\6.00.000 ]

6) Double click the License key. You will see this:
"Your Username----> This will be followed by two little boxes. If, instead of seeing your username, you see Daemon replace it with the username you entered during installation. (Take care not to overwrite the little boxes.)

The two little boxes will be followed by a machine specific ID of 8 alphanumeric characters in four groups. Do not touch those.

The machine ID will be followed by two more little boxes. Do not touch them.
The second set of two little boxes will be followed by something like:
demo - AEX4KV-61ZE10-0PS74M-EF68U2-JUGEQ3-4WJSHS

This is the part you are going to replace. Use:
60C45678-75C919F6-B15WSP-81W5E4-5G8N75-9T49X4-1X07WW-WSHVB7---> This is a valid registration key.

The resulting key should look exactly like this:
Username + Two little boxes + Machine ID + Two little boxes + Authorization code above

Click OK, exit regedit and fire up your brand new Eviews 6 registered in your name.

More than unstable... looks like a superficial attempt only.
See the instructions and a better fix. It's not fully tested... let's Tat64 to try some of his 4 GB models :)

Crack does not work. The registery code looks a bit different from XP I think. I am using Windows Vista.
