Adobe Digital Editions is an engaging new way to read and manage eBooks and other digital publications.
Digital Editions is built from the ground up as a lightweight, Rich Internet Application (RIA).
Digital Editions works online and offline, and supports PDF and XHTML-based content as well as Flash SWF for rich interactivity.
Once the application launches you will see either the library pane or the reading pane. The library pane provides a way to view and organize your collection of items. The reading pane, as the name implies, allows you to read, navigate print, annotate, and search your documents.
Adobe Digital Editions always remembers the place you were the last
time you viewed a particular item and also remembers what you were doing the last time you exited the program. The very first time you enter the app it will go automatically to the reading pane if you are downloading an item, but if you are just starting the app on its own it will take you to the Library pane.
In both panes, there are 3 areas: the main work area, the toolbar at the top and a collapsible pane on the left. The left hand pane can be closed by dragging or by double-clicking on the small grey bar on the divider bar with the little gray triangle. You can re-open the left pane by double-clicking again on the divider bar or simply grabbing the bar and dragging it open.
The library's main area is occupied by the items in your currently selected bookshelf. The left hand pane always contains the bookshelves themselves. The Reading pane has a main document area, a toolbar at the top, and a tab pane on the left. The tab pane can show the Table of Contents (if the item has one) or the Bookmarks and Annotations (if there are any). You can toggle the left-hand pane between these two by clicking on the icons at the top of the left hand pane, just below the toolbar.

some presets had to be relocated

Dead Disk Doctor – allows copying files from scratched or damaged CD, DVD disks, unreadable Floppy and Hard Drives or other media. It replaces lost data with random bytes reading files by expandable blocks.
For example, one of your favorite DVD movies is scratched and the DVD player stopping and skipping during you watch the movie. You can solve it using Dead Disk Doctor, to copy files from damaged disk on to Hard Drive or to make a copy with corrected movie or music album.
Most of the time the copying algorithm allows to read data when standard utilities or devices cannot. But even if some part of the media is completely unreadable, it will be replaced with random data. As result, watching this way copied movie, may be you will see some video artifacts for the less then a second, which is much better the stops and skips. Quite same about audio and image files.
Lets start. For example, you want to copy movie from scratched DVD on to computer hard drive. What should you do?
Clean the disk with cotton wool fabrics, insert disk in to DVD drive, run Dead Disk Doctor application. In appeared window choose "I want to copy files from damaged media to a specific folder" line, double clicking on it , or click "Next >" button .

Not truly portable unfortunately. :( Still launches realscheduler.exe. You have to kill the processes manually, also realplayer.exe stays after you close it.
And after that, you can't even delete the folder you unrared w/o a reboot in safe mode. Plus the registry keys......

The new Key Metadata Browser provides quick access to key information tags with an improved ranking and rating system that now incorporates color labels and a pick/reject system that sorts and locates photographs faster than ever. New to the Develop module, Virtual Copies and Snapshot tools help present multiple versions of the same image, providing the most choice to clients without the confusion of saving separate physical versions.
Additional tools added include a Hue, Saturation and Luminance targeted adjustment tool for precise and intuitive image edits. Clone and Healing features provide non-destructive edits to eliminate sensor dust across one or many images.
High-Quality Raw Processing
Photoshop Lightroom leverages Adobe Camera Raw technology and supports over 150 native raw file formats, in addition to JPEG and TIFF, bringing raw conversion into a single workflow experience. The latest camera models supported include the Nikon D40 and D80 and the Pentax K10D. This support means that photographers can use Lightroom with even the newest cameras on the market, knowing that the image files will be recognized today and in the future. Upon import, files can be converted to the Digital Negative specification (DNG) or renamed and segmented by folder or date. DNG is an industry-wide initiative to create a universal file format for solving workflow and archiving issues.
