Here's a great little open source video editor that like VLC player comes with all the codecs it needs wrapped up in it's own standalone package. Having this on your system will not cause any conflicts with your existing package. Will edit and convert most video files (including FLV) and comes with a great set of plugins from the simple to the advanced. Check out the site at
